Transactional Processes Manager

Provide Semeion TPM your data and documents, Semeion TPM will manage their transformation and lifecycle.
TPM is an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and is typically used for automating Output Management processes, database migrations or data mining processes. With more than 50 different processors, TPM is the most simple and secured way to care about your data and documents.

What is Semeion Transactional Processes Manager (TPM)?

Processes which involve high volume of data, documents or files are usually complex to manage. With Semeion TPM, Meninx provides any organization in any industry segment, a set of functionalities which enable securing, automating, tracking and accounting your data, documents and files.

Semeion TPM is formed with a workflow manager (called the CA for Central Automation unit) and a set of processors (called TIRs for Tasks and Information Recovery units). Each TIR can perform a set of actions based on a specific configuration. The TIRs behavior can be impacted by a job ticket in order to ensure that the whole of your requirements will be covered. A TIR function can be:

  • content conversion : any2any as for example Flat Files to XML files or PDF data streams to AFP data streams, etc.
  • content enrichment based on your business rules
  • connector to any external system or data sources (e.g. via stored procedures, messaging or web services)
  • accounting and parsing of data streams
  • external devices control (e.g. printers, packaging systems, cameras, I/O cards)
  • connect external applications such as a document composition engine (Meninx provides also its own composition engine based on the Microsoft XAML and XPS standards)
  • file system management (copy, delete, move, change attibutes of files etc.)
  • data merger, splitter, extractor or inserter
  • output channels management : paper, eBills (Meninx is PayNet and PostFinance certified), archive (e.g. Canon Therefore, EMC2 Documentum, Microsoft-SharePoint)

Our TIRs can perform actions on any kind of data, documents and file types such as:

  • flat files: SAP files, CSV files, Xerox VIPP, any tagged or fixed length records files
  • XML and HTML
  • Microsoft XPS
  • Adobe PDF and PostScript
  • Microsoft-Office 2007 and 2010
  • SQL databases

Please note that Meninx doesn't recommend to use other data or files format in a transactional workflow.

You can duplicate the CA and the TIRs (as much as you wish and on as many servers as you need) in order to make your infrastructure redundant, performant and secured.

You also can, within your workflow, develop and use your own TIRs. Please contact our technical team to get support and the specification.
